General Accounting Manager at a Pharmaceutical Company in Vientiane, Laos

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including month-end and year-end close processes
• Up to 20,000,000 LAK plus other allowances and benefits

The Role

This role involves handling treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, and preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

About the Company

Our client operates as a distributor in the pharmaceutical sector, delivering various pharmaceutical products to government and private healthcare facilities

Description

• Manage accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities
• Meet financial accounting objectives and maintain fiscal files and records
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
• Coordinate with external auditors for half-year and year-end financial audits
• Manage and supervise the daily functions of the accounting department, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to policies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA preferred
• 8+ years of experience in an accounting role or relevant industry
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and the local language
