Legal Manager at one of the International Companies in Vientiane, Laos

• Provide legal advice and guidance to the company on various matters, including corporate, commercial, employment, regulatory, and compliance issues
• Up to 50,000,000 LAK plus other allowances and benefits

The Role

The role is ensuring compliance with local, national, and international laws and regulations and working closely with other departments to ensure cohesive and comprehensive legal support

Description

• Support the company in maintaining good corporate governance practices
• Assist in the preparation of board meetings and corporate documentation
• Ensure the company's policies and procedures comply with legal and regulatory requirements
• Provide legal advice and support to the company's various departments
• Develop and update internal policies to align with legal requirements and best practices
• Manage litigation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution processes. Coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in law is required; master’s degree or equivalent is preferred
• Minimum of 5-7 years of legal experience, preferably with an international company or law firm
• Strong knowledge of local and international legal and regulatory frameworks
• Proficiency in English and Lao; additional languages are a plus
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
